SPU Backing

Recommended when you need better shock absorption, a thicker surface, or a setup that can be rolled out and stored easily after use.
PU Foam Padding (5–10mm)
Most popular choice is 5mm. PU padding gives the turf better elasticity and comfort. Thanks to its heavier weight, the turf lies flat on the floor even without glue installation.
TPE Backing (3mm)
Offers good anti-slip performance and moderate cushioning.
⚠️ Please note: Padded gym turf requires MOQ and longer lead time, and may have some production limitations.

Directly fix the turf on existing floor surfaces including concrete, wooden floors, rubber mats, tiles, and other hardened flat surfaces.
Lay it down, fix it on the ground and use specialized edge trim strips along the turf to protect the edges and ensure clean finish.
Embed the turf between rubber flooring to keep turf and rubber tiles at the same height for seamless integration.

Always measure the thickness of your existing flooring first. If the turf is not thick enough, add an underlay beneath it to raise the height and make it level with the surrounding floor for seamless integration.
Please note the difference between pile height and natural thickness.
Pile height refers to the measured height of the yarns when standing fully upright. For curled yarn gym turf, the fibers naturally shrink and curl down after tufting, creating a softer, lower "natural thickness" on the surface.
Different pile heights result in different finished thicknesses depending on yarn type, curl behavior, and tufting parameters.

Essential tools for professional installation
Follow these steps for perfect installation
Make sure the ground is clean. Use a brush or a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and debris.
Roll out the turf and ensure it's 100% flat. Use weights if necessary and let it sit for 24 hours.
Measure dimensions carefully, position the turf correctly, then trim off excess material.
Pro Tip:
We usually add a bit of extra length and width to each roll so that if the installation area is not perfectly straight, you'll still have enough material to trim and adjust accordingly.
Choose your preferred fixation method - glue for permanent installation or tape for flexible setup.
Apply glue to entire backing for maximum durability.
Use at edges and center for flexible installation.
Vacuum clean the track for finishing touch. Your gym turf is now ready for use!
If you need to joint several pieces of turf together, please refer to the following steps:
Simply laying the pieces of turf over the area.
Using an utility knife, cut the turf (on backside) to fit the area. Please don't forget to cut the edges of turf as straight as possible, so after two pieces of turf jointed together, there will be no obvious jointing traces.
Then, fold back the pieces of turf, roll out the joint tape in the middle of the two pieces.
Brush the glue on the joint tape and on the backside of the turf edges as well.
Put down the edges. (Be sure that NO grass yarn stick to the joint tape).
Step on the seaming places and the edges repeatedly, to make sure that the turf is firmly fixed on the ground. If necessary, put some weights on the turf seaming places and edges. Lay it for 24 hours.
Keep your gym turf in perfect condition with these simple maintenance tips
Use a vacuum cleaner (with brush) to clean the gym sprint tracks OR use the wet (not too wet) mop to wipe the sled track turf when it gets dirty.
Avoid contact with very hot materials (or close proximity to glass structures) to prevent shrinkage of the gym grass fibers.

Usually you can use a vacuum cleaner (with brush) to clean the gym turf or use the wet (not too wet) mop to scrub the artificial turf gym when it gets dirty.
For outdoor gym turf with good drainage system, you can also rinse the lawn with water and let it dry naturally.
Don't allow food, chewing gum, chemicals, very hot materials or sunflower seeds in the gym astro turf flooring area.
SBR latex is a layer of glue coated on the backing of gym turf to lock the fibers. PU foam pad is made of a foam material which provides a more "cushiony," softer feel when walking on the turf. The PU foam pad can vary in thickness and typically comes in 5mm, 10mm.
Gym turf with PU foam pad will be more expensive.

Grace Grass gym turf for sale is not set up to withstand the pressure of chairs, tables, or high heel shoes. Vehicles are not recommended on it either. Place plywood or heavy plastic over it to protect it whenever required.
The ground for installing a gym grass should be smooth, hardened and clean.
Concrete ground, rubber mat flooring, wooden flooring are suitable for the indoor gyms, home gym and garage gym.
Concrete or asphalt ground with good drainage system are suitable for the outdoor gyms.
For installing the gym turf without PU foam pad underlay, we suggest to use glue to fix the turf on the ground.
For the padded gym turf, glue is unnecessary. Because the turf has heavy weight and slip-resistant backing, so it won't move. And when you don't want to use it, you can roll it up directly.
